Google, web kullanıcıları tarafından, en beğenilen servisler arasında yer alan ve kullanıcılarının, 51 farklı dilde çeviri yapabilmelerine olanak tanıyan Google Translate'in, yeni arayüzünü ve şipşak (geçek zamanlı/anlık - Real-Time/instantly) çeviri başta olmak üzere, eklediği yeni özelliklerini duyurdu ve kullanıma sundu +tr.

Çok daha kullanışlı bir arayüz ile hizmet vermeye devam edecek olan Google Translate'te artık; çevirilmesini istediğiniz metnin henüz harflerini yazma başlamışken, Google Translate metninizi istediğiniz dile çevirmeye/tercüme etmeye başlayarak, Tercüme Et butonuna tıklamaya gerek duymadan, şipşak (geçek zamanlı/anlık - Real-Time/instantly) çevirilmekte (Translate instantly).Ayrıca metninizi ingilizceye çeviriyorsanız, ingilizce metini sesli olarak dinleyebiliyorsunuz (text-to-speech).

Google Translate'in diğer bir yeni özelliği ise: Japonca ve Çince gibi Latin alfabesi kullanmayan dillere yapılan çeviri sonuçlarını, Show romanizaiton (Latince alfabeyle göster) butonu ile latin alfabesindeki karşılıklarını gösterebilmesi.Yine bu dillerden yapılacak çeviriler esnasında, çeviri kutusuna latin alfabesi ile yazılan metinlerden hemen sonra, klavyedeki boşluk tuşuna (space bar) basıldığında, latin harflerin yerine bu dillerin kendi alfabelerindeki harfler gelmekte.
